Mild-mannered Scott Makson has been building instruments for ten years and playing them for over twice that. An interest in electronics led to circuit bending, and to a search for new ways to create music and interact with sound.
A piano player by nature, Scott wanted a portable keyboard instrument he could play and sing along with. Not content with an accordion, he built the first melodicoat out of random bits and thrift store finds. It grew and evolved into a modular musical wardrobe, drawing on skills in acoustics, electronics, sewing, and programming.
